Chapter 113. The Beast
Prince Damian paced steadily through a large hallway in the Valtorian palace, his footsteps echoing for a few seconds before fading out. His silvery white robe glistened beneath the orange flame of the torches that hung from the multiple pillars buried in the walls along a straight path toward the end of the passage, and his violet orbs sparkled like amethyst in the sun. He held a letter with a red seal and a ribbon and wore a soft smile on his face.
He marched for a few minutes before arriving at a large brown door. The door featured carvings of a simplified map of Valtoria. It showed the eight districts extending out of the large circular landmass to form the sun at the center of the door and all the other six Heptagon kingdoms around them. Damian paused at the door, let out a soft breath, and knocked three times.
He paused, waiting for a reply, but there was none. He knocked three more times and waited a few more seconds, but there was still no reply.
