Chapter 148. Selihelion
Caspian and Isaiah rode in a royal carriage into a large cluster of wooden buildings painted different shades of brown to match the earth around them. The city was one that formed and grew quickly as the followers of the neutrality—as Caspian would call it—increased from hundreds to thousands in the space of five years. Sitting between the two worlds and bearing the name ‘Selihelion,’ the community served as a way of showing that its people were against the separation of the sun and moon worshipers.
Caspian and Isaiah rode through the entrance, escorted by smaller carriages containing guards and soldiers to protect them from harm in case of an attack. As they rode through the street, they were greeted with chants and cheering from the people of the community. Women, men, and children waved their arms in the air, some bowing as the carriage rode past them.
“Wow, what a welcome,” Isaiah said, looking out the carriage window.
