Chapter 182. Moriah vs. Laeron
The early morning air was soft and cold, yet stirred with tension, as two hearts beat in a slow, quiet, malicious rhythm. The sound of sand scratching beneath leather boots reverberated through the air as Moriah pulled her left leg back and leaned forward in a battle stance.
Her fists were raised, strands from her ponytail dancing in the soft wind as she glared at her opponent, her crimson eyes glimmering with resentment. She panted lightly. Her leather clothes had been roughed up, covered in dirt, and torn in small places around her midsection. Her cheeks and forehead were decorated with scratches made by her opponent during the first few rounds.
Her opponent looked no better. Although he had won every round since the fight began, the young elf warrior’s blond hair and clothes were in more of a mess than Moriah’s, the reason being that the Argironian’s fighting style was a lot cleaner and more powerful than the Valtorian’s.
