Chapter 189. Savage
I ripped through the battalion of elf soldiers, my claws cutting through their armor and flesh like scissors through cloth. Their swords shattered on meeting my skin, I bit large pieces off their necks, and ripped limbs from bodies, zipping around the courtyard at blinding speed.
Four of the six councillors who dared to remain in the courtyard watched the bloodbath, their faces etched with horror. Lord Aethon still held his ground, and Laeron foolishly stood beside him before the large statue of Althaeon. I guess their belief in their ruthless laws was beyond superficial. Laeron was starting to break, though. It was evident in his eyes, his trembling hands, and the beating heart I unconsciously yearned to rip out of his chest.
