Chapter 40. Moriah's Joke
A large peregrine falcon soared over the lands of Moon-World, its head moving around and its eyes searching as the cold early morning breeze blew beneath its wings. Its dark brown eyes sparkled like polished glass marbles underneath the rising sun, and its wings remained still as it glided toward the ground. The bird had a small scroll tied with a red ribbon to its ankle, and the scroll had a red seal bearing the Andreian insignia.
After hours of flight, the falcon arrived at the western city of Andreia. It flew between and over buildings, cutting across half the city within minutes. The bird was headed for the military camp on the edge of the large city, and as it flew over the buildings, its eyes darted from one person on the ground to another.
