Chapter 15. Mother’s Love
Ben glared at her in disbelief. “Apologies!” she whispered, almost inaudibly. She cleared her throat, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say that...”
Her father chuckled, “It’s okay, baby! That was something we shouldn’t be proud of, but you were right! Ben has proved to us that he loves you no matter what, and I’m happy about that. We are both happy for you...” he took his wife’s hand and gripped it gently.
They nodded to Keira and Ben with bright smiles on their faces. Keira felt very sick at the sight in front of her. Seeing her parents happy over her fake marriage was stressful. They trusted them so much; how could she possibly break their hearts later? Divorce? It was something very taboo in their family. None of her family members were divorced, from her great-grandparents to her cousins. She was in a mess! A huge mess!
“I don’t think it’s a good idea to sleep together like this,” muttered Keira, looking at the bed with her hands folded across her chest. B
