Chapter 19. A Blessing

They looked at each other in surprise. “Yes?!” shouted Ben. “Mr. Mackey, your grandmother is waiting for you downstairs.”

“We’ll be there in five minutes!” said Ben. Keira rushed to pick up her dress, but Ben’s hand stopped her. “Don’t you want to finish it?” he asked pleadingly. Keira gulped, but with the same desire before she had a chance to decide; suddenly, Ben stepped forward to kiss her, and in the next few minutes, they were entwined in fiery desire. “Are you done?” he asked in a whisper in her ear. 

“Yeah...” her voice was hoarse.

Nervously, she hurried to pick up her underwear and walked to the bathroom to clean herself up. She stood and stared at her reflection in the mirror. Was what she did with Ben the right thing? How could they possibly do such a thing without love? Were they robots? 

“Keira! Hurry up!” Ben’s scream from outside woke her up. She rushed to apply lipstick to her lips and smoothed her slightly messy hair.
