Chapter 41. Troublemaker

Mia stammered, “Yeah, um, of course! I mean, the topic of Benjamin and Julia has been hot among Stanford alumni lately, especially after he announced his marriage to you. You forgot Javier was an alumnus of that college!” she rambled on; Javier was Mia’s older brother.

Keira nodded, trying to believe her roommate’s answer. “So what is Julia doing? Why did she suddenly appear?” Mia murmured, her brow furrowed with suspicion. Keira took a deep breath and explained how she had first discovered Julia’s presence at Ben’s office.

“Gosh, that woman is so shameless! She showed up at Ben’s office and refused to go home before she managed to meet him. What a bother!” Mia became very angry.

Keira narrowed her eyes, “You sound angrier than me...” She still couldn’t shake the suspicion from her head.
