Chapter 8. Hard to Conclude
When I got in the car, my heart was pounding! Marco looks so grumpy! Maybe he’s had a bad day.
He was quiet on the ride until we arrived at the condo. I can’t even look at him. What happened last month is still fresh in my mind. He kissed me. We kissed. The last thing he said I couldn’t forget. But I just ignored it in the days that passed, especially since everything had become routine.
On Mondays and Fridays, I wake up early to cook breakfast. Then he will take me to school. But if he is busy, the driver will take me to school.
When I got home in the afternoon, I cleaned up immediately and cooked dinner. That’s all. He became serious about everything.
When we entered his condo, I immediately removed my shoes and sat on the sofa. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him take off his coat and lie down on the couch.
