Chapter 38. Nikolas Rescues Them

Brandon tried to open his eyes to focus on him. A faint ray of recognition reflected in his eyes upon seeing Nikolas.

“E-Eddie M-Miller’s house,” he stammered, before he closed his eyes and lost his consciousness. Nikolas looked desperately at officer Warner, not knowing what he meant. Who was Eddie Miller now? Why did Freddie take her along?

His heart constricted with fright and panic. How would he find Brooklyn now? They freed Brandon and immediately rushed him to the nearest hospital in Portland. Officer Warner called up the police station and asked the officers to find out about Eddie Miller’s house from Jeremy.

“He should be related to Freddie Miller,” said Nikolas, and they all agreed. Officer Thompson called up his men, who were trailing the other car. It seemed as if they had lost track of it completely. One thing was certain.

Brooklyn was with them in the car. They had noted a girl struggling against her captors.
