Chapter 6. Amara Not Neing Amara
Blurring eyes, hurting body, aching mind— the only few things I had felt when I woke up. Surely, I was locked inside Chandra's magical home, having been treated after having been consumed by her little grandchild.
I squinted my eyes, hoping they wouldn't notice I finally woke up, instead, is just about to connect to my body. The way I squinted made a different contact with an image to my eyes. So apparently, my little plan to not get caught suddenly breaks up. Damn, I have never even had the chance to eavesdrop on any kind of conversation I might get.
"He's awake," says the girl who has been taking my temperature.
I looked at her— shocked to realize that it was someone I haven't even met.
I felt my continuous running heartbeat, which symbolizes the extreme scarcity of companionship my eyes couldn't find— Amara or Chandra— around every corner of this room. I shouted in fear, whimpering into the corner, scared of the new companion.
