Chapter 7. A Not-So-Good Beginning
The cold wind coming from the window passed through my cheeks. It smelled like fresh water from the sea, trying to reach my consciousness— wanting to have a conversation with me. It complemented the voice of the birds, making their little chirping sound like a piece of music— a relaxation to everyone every morning. I felt the heat of the sun on my cheeks, waking me up from sleep. As soon as my brain gets the message, my body has nothing to do but to get along with it.
I opened my eyes. Rather than enjoying the new place I am in now, I felt a little ache in my heart. This place is familiar because this is my home, but why does the tears couldn't dry on their own? As I realize that I'm finally back in the human realm— or the other side of their world, or whatever they called these places are— there's one thing that came to my mind, and it was my parents.
