“Wow, you learn quickly, don’t you?” the old man said, and Ethan replied with a smile,

“That’s Delilah for you…”

“I can finally walk again!” Delilah screamed with joy.

The old man’s store was finally open. The kids moved from table to table, serving customers food and selling items. It was surprising how well they worked, given that they had only started today. Delilah, thrilled with her new ability to walk, zoomed around the store, refusing to sit down. She had gotten so used to walking that she didn't want to stop.

“It’s weird how well she’s using those things, considering she hasn’t been able to walk for 50 years,” Ivory remarked.

“Yeah. But I guess she’s just really excited. It must have hurt seeing everyone around her using their legs while she couldn’t. Plus, she didn’t want to be a burden to you guys,” Kathrin replied with a smile. Both she and Ivory stood behind the large counter in the store, managing the supermarket while Delilah and
