As she walked down the hallway with six maids behind her, holding up her dress, she came across the king.

“My daughter, the day has finally come. The day when a new king shall arise to lead the kingdom by your side. I hope you are filled with as much excitement as I am,” the king said with a smile.

The princess refused to raise her head to look at him, but after a few seconds of silence, she spoke. “I personally am not happy with this decision, but if it is for the good of the kingdom, as you’ve said, I will gladly accept his marriage proposal,” she said softly, without smiling.

The king let out a sigh, then said, “Even if you do not love him now, I’m sure you will once you’ve spent some time getting to know him.”
