“Alphas, this surgery is likely to take up to eight hours for the preliminary investigation into what is wrong mainly with her brain, from here the doctors can check out if it can be cured or it's terminal.” 

My heart snapped into two. Despair brushed in, the world was falling in on us. 

“What do you mean?” I asked her. Dustin asked at the same time. “I thought the surgery to get the tumor out of her is gonna be done today?” I relayed what I thought all these while to the nurse.
