Hazel's POV

I didn’t wait for him to agree before I walked out of the kitchen and into the sitting room, waiting for him. Mama Mia was behind me and silent. I guess she wasn’t going to be a participant. She was going to play the role of an unmeddling spectator.

I settled myself on the sofa and watched Alpha do the same. Mama Mia was seated beside me.

"What are all these for, Hazel?"

"There are some things we need to cover before I step my feet into your pack. That is, if I am."

I wasn’t sure yet. It depended on the Alpha’s response and how the conversation was going to end. Also, Mama Mia wasn’t just going to be a spectator but a witness.

"And Mama Mia, I’ll need you to bear witness, please. Take note of whatever the Alpha and I will discuss."

She nodded quietly. She might be wondering why I was making things difficult. I'm unstable with my decisions; if only she’d understand. Once bitten, twice shy, so they say.
