Chapter 76
I didn’t know what I was there for, and I didn’t care either. The dark could close in on me, and I wouldn’t bat an eyelid or even make an effort to move away from my position by the grave.
I was still there, but I had laid close to the flat grave. I had buried her in a way that wouldn’t be a giveaway of a corpse lying below a shallow, dug-wide hole; it was flat, and the yellow flowers surrounding the grave would’ve made it almost impossible for anyone to have any idea that there was a grave there.
I had chosen that spot because I wanted her to be in the midst of her most beloved plant, though I’d had to uproot some daffodils to make that possible. There weren't as many as there had been when she was alive.
"Mama Lia, can you hear me?"
There was no response. I heard a robin tweet from a distance.
Was that her?
Right now, I would appreciate any medium that she used to talk to me. Even if she wanted to communicate with me through these yellow flower
