Hazel's POV

"So let’s go back to eating."

I tried a small smile.

"That’s all you can think about, Lia."

"What? I need the strength to face whatever it is Mama Mia was warning us about."

"You need the strength?"

"Yes, I need the strength. I know what you mean, and no matter how you see it or see me, I contribute to our welfare too."

"Mm-hmm," was my sarcastic reply.

"Whatever, Hazel. You just don’t think well of me, and I’m used to it."

"I think well of you. But I just wonder, whenever we go through any unfavorable situation, who’s receiving it firsthand?"
