Chapter 22. Weakened Richard
Meanwhile, Richard was feeling agitated in his office as he couldn’t shake off Gina’s last words that he was weak. It bothered him so much that he couldn’t even sleep. Richard tried to convince himself that he was fine, at least for now, but he couldn’t deny that he had never suspected Gina before. His sense of smell had never failed him with any other perfume, so why couldn’t he recognize Gina’s true identity? Even when he was in the café full of vampires, he couldn’t identify them due to the smell of food and coffee masking their scent.
Richard paced back and forth on his rug, lost in thought. He also couldn’t forget the incident when he lost control in the restaurant that night and almost transformed into a wolf in public. All because of this unknown creature who wanted to harm him. Richard didn’t even know the creature’s name.
