Chapter 30. While He Sleeps
The overwhelming feeling made butterflies fly in Winona’s stomach. To be honest, she didn’t want to stop. Winona hated the fact that she felt all of this because of Richard Lerroy. Winona keeps denying it, but every cell in her body wants it. It all ended when Richard let go, leaving Winona short of breath.
“I told you not to fuss,” Richard said coldly.
Winona couldn’t say anything. She was confused by all the feelings that were mixed in her chest. No, Winona couldn’t be in love. This was too fast; this was impossible, after all. Richard and Winona couldn’t be together. The man couldn’t possibly love Winona; they were only together because of circumstances.
After saying so, Richard then took something from the back seat. As soon as she picked it up, Winona recognized the same jacket Richard had worn that night when they first met. Without saying anything, Richard handed the jacket to Winona’s hands, then started the car engine and drove away from the place.
