Chapter 90. Protecting Winona

Richard got to his office, feeling better. He then sat down at his desk, thinking. Winona really confused him. Her request not to divorce put Richard in a difficult position. Richard’s logic dictated that he should have let Winona go immediately. With his current strength, he would be protected, and the vampires would no longer be after him. However, now Richard’s heart forced him to stay with Winona.

Richard laid his head on the back of the chair and closed his eyes. He also thought about how Winona was so afraid of making Richard weak and even sick. Richard didn’t have the heart to tell the truth, that Winona had made him weak even though it hadn’t hurt him yet.
