Chapter 16

Haley’s POV

After waiting for thirty minutes, she was brought back to her room. I was happy when I saw her. Since today I will not have to worry about her health, whether she is feeling any pain or whether she will get to see another day. I will always be grateful to Ivan for giving our mom back to us. At least now she will get to see Joy's child and our wedding. I did not get to tell her about what happened yesterday and I will make sure to tell her. I also have to talk to Peige. I want to tell her everything but still Bernard is her brother and she will support him as usual but I cannot tell her that I got married out of an agreement. I have to be careful with people who I tell about the contract so that it cannot destroy Ivan's image in public. I bet I need to talk to Peige now before I talk to mom.

Joy was holding my hand while Ivan had his hand on my waist.

"I need to talk to Peige," I whispered to him.

"Don't tell her about…" I interrupted him.
