Chapter 23. Doctor Adam

Isla's POV:

"I found it! " Doctor Adam clapped his hands together in joy. He helped me in getting up and I sat on the bed as I tried to catch my breath.

The kid opened his eyes and rubbed them. He removed the tubes from his hands and jumped out of bed as if he was never bedridden.

"How are you feeling? " Doctor Adam asked him.

"I am feeling good. What am I doing here? " The kid asked.

"Oh, nothing. You just fell from the stairs. I will inform your parents to take you back home. Till then, take a rest. " He told the child who again got in his bed.

Doctor Adam supported me as we walked out of the patient's room. He gave me a glass of water back in his office so I could breathe properly again. But my energy was still so low and I was seeing black dots everywhere.
