Chapter 124. Yesterday?

Feeling the warmth of Jake's arms was just what I needed. I felt safe again. I didn't understand how he could recover so quickly from the coma, but I was grateful for it. I hugged him for a few minutes. I didn't care that we were being watched. I didn't even care that Dean was downstairs, staring at us.
When Jake and I parted, I noticed tears in his eyes.
"Dean told me yesterday that you weren't doing well. I didn't know you were here until this morning. I had to ask my doctor to find out something about you because they told me I couldn't see you. I never imagined you would be here."
Jake's parents were present, as well as Carla and Dean. Everyone was looking at us, but Dean couldn't take his eyes off us. He looked at us intently, and the pain and anger were evident in his gaze. But I didn't stop, and I kept hugging Jake. He was fine, and I wanted to go home. I didn't want to be here anymo
