Chapter 31
Alex's POV
A faint smile tugged at the corners of my weary lips. Despite the perilous situation, we found ourselves in, there was a glimmer of curiosity in my eyes. I needed to understand the depths of Nathan's pain, the fire that fueled his relentless pursuit of revenge.
Nathan paused for a moment, his gaze drifting into the distance as if lost in haunting memories. His voice was laced with a mixture of bitterness and sorrow as he began to recount his tragic tale.
"My parents... they were taken from me, their lives brutally cut short," he started his words carrying the weight of unresolved grief. "They were innocent, loving souls, living a simple life. But one fateful night, on a camping trip to the nearby mountains, they encountered the merciless wrath of the werewolves."
The anguish in his voice was palpable as if the wounds he carried ran deeper than the physical scars inflicted upon him. I could sense the void in his heart that revenge had filled.
