Alex’s POV

I activated my heightened senses, allowing the sounds and scents of the forest to guide me. I listened for the rustling of leaves, the faint footsteps of small creatures, and the distant calls of birds. With each step, I followed the trail of a potential meal.

In the distance, I detected the scent of a small group of deer. They were grazing peacefully, unaware of the danger lurking nearby. Moving silently, I approached them with precision. With a swift movement, I leaped forward, capturing one of the deer in my grasp.

It was a clean kill, quick and efficient. I thanked the animal silently for providing sustenance for us in this unforgiving world. I skillfully skinned and prepared the deer, knowing that every part would be utilized.
