Chapter 10. Gennie
Lucien Anna sat in the front seat of Lucien’s black car, arms crossed, eyes staring out the tinted window, but her mind was somewhere else entirely. It only just hit her.
She had no idea where this Barcelli he mentioned was located.
Her brows furrowed. She didn’t even know if Barcelli was the name of a person, or a restaurant. She’d been so distracted by his audacity in the shower, she hadn’t asked. Typical.
They drove in silence, but not the kind that felt heavy or awkward. It was oddly comfortable. Familiar. Too familiar for someone who She had just met few days ago.
She caught herself glancing at his hands on the wheel. Big. Veiny. Confident. He was tapping on the wheel with his Index finger like the first time she got in his car.
Lucien felt her eyes on him and decided to turn to her but she immediately looked away and turned back to the window, annoyed with herself that she was just caught staring.
When they arrived, the sign read Barcelli’
