Lucien’s story didn’t start like most.

His mother had been pregnant with him when she married into the Blackwell family. It was a marriage arranged to protect powerful interests, not born of love. Her heart had belonged to Vercetti, Lucien’s father, but she lied, claiming the baby she carried was her new husband’s.

The Blackwells were obsessed with bloodlines, so when they discovered the truth, they tried to erase Lucien from existence. They stripped him of their name and branded him a stain they had to wipe clean.

At just a few months old, Lucien’s mother was forced to abandon him at an orphanage, but that wasn’t enough for the Blackwells. The family wanted to make sure no one could ever trace him back to them, so they sent someone to kill him.
