Chapter 23
Tasia stood there, her dark hair pulled back into a ponytail that hung over her shoulder. The werewolf had changed since the last time they met, but it was primarily in her shoulders. The definition of the muscles there reminded Dana of sculpted marble. She stuck the snack back in the baggie in her pocket.
“Dana.” Tasia seemed at a loss for words.
In response, Dana unlocked her phone and opened the picture again, then held it up roughly at the same height as Tasia’s chest as if using magical X-ray vision.
“Got your picture,” said Dana. “A simple hello would have sufficed.”
Tasia blushed, the sudden vulnerability on her face making her ten times more appealing. The brunette winced and fidgeted with her fingers as she looked away. “I was trying to be silly and wasn’t thinking—”
Dana crossed the room at inhuman speed, pushing the werewolf back against the closed door. She pinned Tasia’s shoulders with her hands, then closed her eyes and sniffed her collarb
