“I can’t wait to see you, Alexis.” My voice was brimming with excitement as we spoke on the phone.

“I can’t wait to know the gender of your baby.” She teased.

I rolled my eyes even though she wasn’t present in the room with me. “I can’t wait either.”

After talking for a few more minutes, the call ended.

According to the doctor, it was almost a week before my due date. Patrick and I still wanted to know the gender of our baby through a shower.

The planning had been chaotic but I wasn’t part of it. Jordan, his fiancée, and Patrick had practically taken over everything.
