Patrick Banks POV

Madeline and I used to be close. Very close.

But ever since my mother cut me off from the family, everyone else turned against me too. I always wondered what she must’ve said to them.

It was heartbreaking to know that they actually believed that I could kill my brother. I had tried so much to prove to them that it wasn’t me, but all my efforts were fruitless.

My mother made it clear that she didn’t want anything to do with me anymore by giving me the permanent silent treatment.

I had accepted my fate but a part of me still hoped that things were going to change.

As for Madeline, I was shocked when the security called to tell me that she was at the gate. I was surprised to see her because we weren’t exactly speaking to each other at the moment.

I knew she still blamed me for Benjamin’s death, but I couldn’t ask her to leave the shower. I thought she wanted to amend things.

But I guess I was just being delusional.
