“Wow, I am stunned.”

“Wait till you see the dress. The event was beautiful. I got to meet a lot of designers and models. Dom was a gentleman the entire night, the perfect husband. I almost believed us myself.” She laughed to herself.

“Hello! You finally decided to get back.” Liam announced his presence and made himself comfortable in the seat he always sat in.

“What do you want?” Dom didn't even look up from his computer.

“Ouch. That was hurtful.” Liam put his hand to his chest. Dom sighed and put his laptop away.

“The flexibility of your job amazes me sometimes,” Dom commented.

“Well, I do not work in admin, and I’m just one of the million lawyers in the firm.” Liam shrugged, unbothered.

Dom regarded his friend for a minute. “I can’t believe I'm about to say this, but I missed you… just a tiny bit.” But the last part was drowned by Liam’s whoop.

“I mean, I knew that, but it feels really good to hear it from your grumpy ass.”
