Chapter 59

She hadn’t said what was wrong. He only knew there was an emergency and they had to be at the hospital, so he stepped on the accelerator. He hoped it was nothing too serious.

They got to the hospital, and she hopped down from the car before he could even properly park it.

“Gen.” He ran after her and held her hand, turning her face toward him. “Baby, you need to calm down.” Tears were rolling down her eyes.

“I’m trying. It’s just… my baby’s in there.” She sniffed. “Oh my God, my baby girl is in there.” Dom simply pulled her into his arms and held her there for a while.

“You need to please calm down, babe. You can't be a mess when you go in to see her.” He pulled away and wiped her tears. “Alright, let’s go.”

At the reception, Gen asked for Zara Anderson, and they were directed. They could not see her, though, because she was still being attended to in the ER, but they saw a very teary Tiana.

“Oh my God, Gen, you’re here.” She ran to hug her, a
