Chapter 55
Hours later, the party was over. The last of the guests had finally left, and Gen was relieved to finally be able to sit for a whole minute. It had been a nice party; the kids sure had fun, and she thought Wes did too. What Drey had not considered was that she would need help handling so many kids. Of course, the moms had tried to help, but there was only so much each mom could do when their own kids were involved, and some moms were not even present.
They had managed to keep the fighting and scratching to a minimum, thankfully, and had just kept the snacks, toys, and games going. Now it was just them, the family. Dinner had been served, and now everybody was just out here, under the open sky, relaxing. It was late evening now; the sun was going down. The backyard was quiet and breezy, and Gen was grateful for it. The atmosphere was calm and serene.
