Chapter 68. Last Thoughts
Dave’s phone rang twice when he was in the bathroom. He knew any call he would be having at the moment would have to be about Jane so he hurried out when he was done. His body dripping with water, he dried his hands on a towel and picked the phone from the bed.
It was Alex who had called. He quickly called back.
“Hey, good morning Alex,” he greeted immediately Alex took the call. “Sorry I missed your call. I was in the bathroom.”
“Good morning Dave,” Alexander sniffed and Dave thought his voice was slightly hoarse than it was. “How is it going?”
“Is it too much of a bother for you to ask how my night was?” Dave said with a slight frown on his face an Alex scoffed. He would never change.
“What are you? A five year old that needs to be pampered?” Alex said with a sneer.
“This has nothing to do with pampering. It is common courtesy every normal human being knows and practice.”
