Chapter 55. Preparations

“No. That isn’t right. We should use a gold theme,” Jane suggested, legs propped on the table.

Isabella had attempted several times to get it off, but Jane would repeat the action after a few minutes.

Dave was here, too. Shocker.

He’d been so caught up in the new company issue that even Alexander barely saw him. Dave was helping out as usual, but he brought out the time for this three-person meeting after Jane had put a call through to him.

Isabella had suggested that they throw Alexander a birthday party, something intimate and small. It’d mainly involve close friends and acquaintances from Alexander’s small social circle.

It got more difficult after they discovered that the more they tried to compile a list for the guests, the more they realized how antisocial Alexander truly was.

Dave scrunched up his nose. “No. Silver,” he bypassed Jane’s earlier suggestion.
