“Hey,” Dave slowed his car to a crawl as he sighted Jane at the roadside.

She was spewing profanities to whoever was on the other end of the call. Her lips moved quickly and animatedly, hands flailing in every direction.

“I’ve been waiting at the goddamn side of the road for more than an hour, mister,” her brows were furrowed in growing rage while her hand was fisted around the phone with an inhuman sort of strength. If she applied a bit more pressure, there was every possible chance that the phone would shatter.

“Who’s she speaking to?” Dave questioned to no one, taking a closer look at her.

“No. I’m not waiting here anymore, okay? You’re nothing but an unprofessional, lousy bastard who…”

“Ermm,” Dave’s voice made Jane’s rant come to a screeching halt.

She eyes him carefully, cutting the call with whoever was on the other end immediately.
