Chapter 11. An Enemy Within

It was weird. Selena pondered. She is only now starting to experience discomfort. If she was bleeding, it shows she was unaware she was injuring herself. 

Selena untied her ponytail, allowing her hair to fall down her back and cover up her blood. She returned her attention to the board and murmured, “I am fine, Dalett,” attempting to keep her focus.  

She put her hand back to her ear to check for bleeding, but when she raised her hand to her face, she found none. She had felt the blood when Dalett informed her, but she couldn’t see any now. Is it now able to recover on its own?

Selena noticed something strange-smelling emanating around her after taking an immense breath. It had a strong scent of pine and fine garden soil. She hurriedly covered her nose with her palm and peered over her shoulder to identify the source of the smell.  

She observed a young lady with black hair and fair complexion.
