Chapter 19. In Contact with Estry, Her Werewolf
Suddenly, the light in Selena’s bathroom went out, leaving her with only the moon’s reflection. When she turned toward the moon, her room darkened.
The moon changed its color, just as Trisha had mentioned. It turned red, a burning, fiery red.
“It’s happening,” Trisha’s voice came from the restroom just before the music started.
The loud music made it tough for Selena to stand up straight. She clung to the table, keeping her eyes fixed on the moon. She felt pressure in her veins and her body began to sweat.
The clocks’ chimes grew louder, and her top priority was to ensure her friends’ safety. If Trisha was right, and she was about to become a werewolf, she didn’t want to harm them.
When the clock finally stopped, Selena suddenly felt terrible. A sudden, intense pain shot through her back, causing her to drop to her knees. It only lasted a brief moment before easing, leaving her soaked in a clammy layer of cold sweat.
