Chapter 123. A Stranger in the Woods
Hania stormed out of the house in rage. She yelled as she stepped into the car. She checked the time and discovered that it was nearly 5:30 p.m. She drove away and came to a stop in front of the woods. As Hania stepped down, she reached for the gun in her luggage. She put in her earplugs and started matching. No one would hear her shoot because this wood is not frequented. She spread her legs and started aiming for the tree. Her first shot did not land on target. She was boiling with rage. She fired another shot, and this time it struck a bird, which fell to the ground.
Hania was so angry that she did not even check on the bird. She just kept shooting, blocking out all sounds except the sound of her gunshot. She tried to focus again, this time aiming the gun at the tree. She took a deep breath and fired again, this time hitting the target. Hania removed the earplugs with a smile. She turned around and heard rattling, prompting her to fire in its direction.
