Chapter 21. A Gift

“Did you say something?” Titus turned around upon hearing Selena’s voice. “No, I didn’t,” Titus responded. “You look all dressed up. The gown suits you perfectly.” Selena found a mirror and gazed at her reflection. “It’s not awful. It suits me,” she said, meeting Titus’s eyes. 

“I’ll take my leave now, Mr. Alpha.” 

“Don’t call me that,” Titus gritted his teeth and rolled his eyes. 

“Goodbye, Mr. Alpha,” Selena repeated as she walked to the door. Titus scowled, leading the way into the living room. Suddenly, he halted, surprised by an unexpected presence. “Max Terry?” Selena called in a hushed tone. 

“Hello, brother,” Terry said with a smirk. As Selena moved away, Max noticed her. “Brother? Wait, was she the sister you mentioned?” Titus briefly glanced at Selena before focusing on Max. Max looked at Selena with a frown and quickly stood up. “Brother, what’s she doing here? Do you know her?”
