“Yes. She is in your class. Truth be told, I’ve heard that you guys treat her like a social outcast. Which is unfair, in my opinion.”

Selena appeared to be lost. “Which student? Everyone who attends this school is treated equally.”

“Max is not, I suppose.” 

Of course, Max! Why is she constantly hearing that name? “So, Max is to be a part of the group? Why is that? We don’t need her.” 

“See? This is what I am talking about. You would not have made a comment if it had been a different student. I knew it was true and not just a rumor when I heard about the case about Max.”

As she sat back in her chair and folded her arms, Selena laughed. “I don’t understand why you want her to sign up. We are good, after all, and we always bring cups home. Nothing will change even though Max is on the team. We’ll just end up being overpopulated.” 

“No, Selena, I don’t believe so. No, especially not now that you’ve been lacking.” 

“What do yo
