Chapter 22. Stay Unnoticed

"Hi, Jade." Dalett approached the chair, pulled it out, and sat down. 

"Hey, Dalett." Jade stated. When she realized she hadn’t heard Selena’s voice, she dropped her phone and searched around the room. Selena would have been irritated if she had seen Jade on her phone or wearing one of her clothing at the dinner table. She cast a brief glance toward Dalett. "Why isn’t Selena with you guys?"

From her vantage point. Dalett was puzzled. "Sele.. See...See..."

"Is she okay?" Jade looked at Trisha, who nodded. 

"Yes, Dalett is fine." Jade, Selena is in her room. She’s unlikely to join us for breakfast this morning." 

Jade burst out laughing. "I suppose Xavier ditched her."

"They were never dating." Trisha covered her mouth as Dalett mumbled to herself. 

Trisha shook her head and laughed. "Ignore whatever Dalett stated. Selena and Xavier are doing really well." 

Jade gently nodded. "You two are weird."
