Chapter 27. Enquiry into Luna Nora

She rushed over to the bed, swiftly lifting the sheets to uncover a meticulously arranged file. Grasping it firmly, she unfolded the contents and examined several reports, though they weren’t the information she sought. Determined, she scanned for the name and location of the hospital. Once finished, Selena returned the file to its rightful place, neatly tidied the bed, and silently retreated to her room. As the door creaked open, Dalett and Trisha swiftly scurried into Selena’s closet, seeking refuge. “Guys,” Selena whispered, calling their names, and they cautiously emerged from their hiding place. “I’ve found what I was searching for,” she said, mindful of their mother’s presence downstairs. 

Trisha approached her with concern. “What’s your plan now that you’ve discovered it? Please don’t tell me you intend to go there.” 

“I’m heading there,” Selena responded resolutely. 

“You see, it’s the only way I can uncover the truth about my father’s fate.”
