Chapter 35. What Hunts at Night
They transformed and headed back to the clearing. On getting there, Natasha proceeded to tell Jessa everything that happened between her and her mom.
“So… Mom basically forced the truth out of me. Not just the wolf stuff — everything. Me, Maeve, the kills, Ethan—everything.”
Jessa’s eyes widened. “And she didn’t pass out?”
“Nope. Wasn’t even close.” Natasha shook her head. “She was freaked, but she handled it. And then she told me what she found out about Grant.”
“What did she find out?” Jessa asked.
Natasha grimaced. “Well, she didn’t just call her lawyer. She also went to Grant’s firm — the one he used last time — and cornered his lawyer. Literally cornered him.”
Jessa raised a brow. “Meaning?”
“Meaning she pinned the guy to a wall and made him talk.”
Jessa slapped her knee. “Your mom is a menace.”
