Chapter 60

Maurice chuckles looking at Hadley's curious gaze and he smiles pecking her forehead. 

"Hmmm…..I don't think I need to have a reason to stand up for my wife," he says hugging Hadley to his body and she went stiff but after a while, she relaxes into his embrace.

The man has a way to make her feel comfortable and she sniffed his scent.

"And you said you love me..is that true?" Hadley asked to not be mistaken and Maurice smiled hearing how r words.

"Did you think that was a lie?" Maurice asked and Hadley nodded her head.

"Yeah I don't think I have been a good wife for you to like me," she said and Maurice smiled. "That's right you have not been a good wife, you don't respect me, you are lousy, you.." Maurice was saying but Hadley disengaged from the hug and slapped his arm.

"If I am not that good why do you love me then?" She asked and the man smiled. "Because you are different…I loved you because you are different from them all," he said.
