Chapter 65

Hadley looked at the silent, creepy apartment building, and she wondered what she was doing in the first place.

“Why am I even here? Yes, my sister is indeed sick, but that doesn't mean that I should come running with my tail wagging behind me,” Hadley mumbled, and she decided to turn around seeing that her visit was pointless but was stopped by two bulky men she didn't know that they were there.

“Please, follow us, ma'am,” the man ordered and Hadley looked at them wondering where they were from and how they knew to tell her what to do.

“I am sorry, but it seems you got the wrong person because l don't know you,” Hadley says, wanting to leave, but the man's voice stops her.

“I am sorry, but your father asked us to escort you,” the man says and without waiting for Hadley's reply, they dragged her by the arm, leading her away.

Hadley was shocked by the gesture, and she wondered why they even bothered to ask her to come when they could have kidnapped her.<
