Chapter 61

Hadley looked at the man in front of her and she scoffed in disbelief hearing his words and she decided to take her to leave but Nicholas's words dropped her.

"Did you ever wonder why I am so interested in you?" Nicholas asked and Hadley creased her eyebrow at him. She knew the man wanted her to be curious and it was just as he wanted she could not help but be curious.

"What? Should I be curious about how a psychopath's mind works?" Hadley asked and the man chuckled. "You really amuse me…Hadley," he chuckles and Hadley shakes her head at the man's words.

"Your husband…he owes me a life," Nicholas says, closing the distance between them at the table and Hadley had to shift a little bit backward to create space between them.

His words caught Hadley off guard and she could not understand his words. Maurice owes him a life? What was that supposed to mean?

"What did you mean by Maurice owing you a life?" Hadley asked, looking so interested but Nicholas shrug
