Chapter 73

The time stopped as Hadley watched Nicholas let go of Maurice's grip on him and she felt her world stop as she closed her eyes hoping that she was hallucinating.

Hadley opened her eyes back still hearing the breathing sound of the man and she knew that it was no joke. 

Maurice has really fallen.

"Ahhh! You demon! What have you done?" Hadley yelled rushing to the man and she reached to slap the man's cheek but Nicholas held her hands in midair.

"What are you doing!" He yelled, looking at Hadley, whose eyes were brimming with tears.

"Are you crazy you just dropped…what ammi doing…I should go and ask for help!" Hadley bellowed, jerking her hands away from the man and she took her heels trying to go look for help but Maurice's voice behind her stopped her movement.

"Where are you going?" Maurice asked, and when she turned around thinking that her ears were playing tricks on her she was surprised to find Maurice standing unscathed looking at her.<
