The whole ballroom fell into silence, and Nicholas's gesture raised an eyebrow to everyone in the room, and they were all curious as to what Hadley was going to do.

“What are you doing, Mr. Sanders?” Hadley asked through gritted teeth warning the man to behave herself, and she wondered why Maurice was silent on the matter.
